Another highlight of this walk is the Pantheon, an ancient roman building, in use for almost 2000 years having been a pagan temple before it was converted into a Christian church.
Its renowned dome is still considered an engineering jewel.
Piazza Navona is another important stop on this tour as it is probably the most elegant square in Rome, embellished by the fountain of Four Rivers by Bernini with its hidden symbolism, the facade of Saint Agnes’s church by Borromini and the sumptuous Pamphilj Palace.
This tour ends in Campo de Fiori, a characteristic Roman square full of stories and legends, in the past place of capital executions as recalled by the monument dedicated to the friar and philosopher Giordano Bruno.
